In 1 hour's time, i shall be in a dance studio having my first pilates class ever. I never would have thought that i'd be taking this up! Hopefully, i won't find it too slow and unstimulating...

I am still into my running but well... am thinking of doing something less focused and impactful on my lower body. Next up, i shall be searching for kickboxing classes.

actually pilates is similar to yoga leh. some poses are the same. but i guess pilates placed more emphasis on core muscles aka stomach and back rite? yoga is more of the whole body, tats wat i think. correct me if i m wrong. i m keen on pilates cos i want to improve my back muscles.i have a tired back when i come home from work. so i do some yoga when i ache here and there, usually before i sleep.and one of my swimming frends is a yoga teacher at a temple!wohooo. she told me gd enuff to do those i know, forget abt head stand.

i have no idea. i've never done yoga, only seen adverts... cant really compare. as far as i know, pilates uses a lot of the core muscles and proper breathing. oh. and we dont do poses, by the way. so, i am wondering if different pple teach and use different variations of what they deem as "pilates".

are u curious about the spiritual aspect of yoga?

i think there is a plank 'pose;(i dunno wat else to call it)...in both yoga and pilates. so far, for yoga, i cant really meditate.tried to do that at lunch time, inpossible.my mind is in a whirl at work.
