And all the food I want to cook.
In actuality, i've not exactly perfected any one dish yet. It's just that i've experimented and tried out different recipes... but it doesn't mean that what i want to cook again will turn out the same way.
The only dishes that i know reasonably well that will turn out well (but not always the same way) is my potato gratin and carrot cake and butter cake. Stuff to put onto bread is also relatively safe. (Eg. prawn and avocado or the egg, red pepper and basil filling). I think my button mushroom burgers are pretty good too. :)
Anyway...
Christmas is coming. And i CANNOT wait!
OH. and HELLLLOOO CANADA!!!!

My mum was real sweet, she came home after work a few days ago and put this magazine on the kitchen table saying, "Nah, i got this for you."
It was a copy of what looked like a new women's magazine called "beautymap". Mummy knows daughter loves make up and beauty products. :D
And so i spent a short while on sunday morning relishing the articles inside and came across a short tutorial on how to put on eye liner. And i can say that FINALLY, FINALLY a women's magazine has SUCCESFULLY taught me how to put on eyeliner the way i like it without confusing me to the point of just giving up.
I'm so happy with my discovery that i foresee myself wearing thicker eye liner now. Hohoho.
I really enjoyed that really rare just-me-alone-time, sitting in the living room with the morning sun coming in and fiddling about with make-up, making a mess of myself and laughing at how ridiculous i look or going ah so des at how i've discovered how to do something new.

somehw the concealer testing in beauty map has me thinking branded concealers indeed work better. The loreal i have now is lousy. i wish i have the money to change into buying branded make up.haiz. this shall be my motivation to get a good degree so tat i can get a better job, so tat i can finally afford those cosmetics
actually, i am pretty satisfied with my Rimmel concealer which is very reasonably priced below $20. i read an article from Urband and make-up artists do give the Rimmel concealer the thumbs up despite it being a drug store brand.
rimmel isnt it thick? i need something with well coverage but it must not be thick cos i got lines underneath my eyes u see. if it is rich, it will look very obvious the lines.Oh by the way, nov going to be a great mth! first i got a bronze prize for my hr diploma studies. then i m going to universal studio after my ex colleague wedding and then i going to my graduation ceremony.omg.....i love nov!
WOW! Congratulations on your prize! Hope that comes as an encouragement to you that you can achieve when you start something and work hard at it. :)
well, i guess rimmel is thick in a way because it comes from a stick and you gotta use your finger to swipe some off and let it melt slightly in your fingers to apply. hm, am not too sure what's the best concealer choice for lines. so u saw the reviews of concealers from beautymap? :)
i saw it too. i didnt really get the eyeliner method. but hey, it is something i didnt know. usually i just draw, i dun dot the marking point
oh i just realised bonito has a 6 hr dateline to submit payment. by the way, do i need to take a pic of the bank transfer receipt to email them tat i have paid up? cant do tat, cos i dun have digital camera and my hp camera is spoilt. haiz. y m i digitally retarted? i need a laptop and a camera.and a new hp....arghhhhhh. hate it.i guess the first priority is to buy a laptop. hp i can use my sis hp. since she bought a iphone. sianz.....
etude has a teardrop eye liner tats prettttty! n its eye shadow applicator really does the job, unlike kate wich doesnt. the eyeshadow is stuck on the applicator. i feel like buying its eyeshadow but i tink i m spending too much le.my sis thinks loreal eyelash serum works. i m undecided if i shud get loose powder. cant find one i like.maybe when xmas comes, i gonna see if i reallllly shud spend on these items.oh well, gers have so much tings to spend on hor?

by the way, salads add tofu cubes, mango cubes and guava taste nice leh.raffles pl got this salad shop i like to eat,(but nt cheap) and it has a salad called geisha something, it has tofu cubes and some light soya sauce, wow, it is nice. just dun mix too much lest the tofu 'breaks'. oh by the way, i mean pink guava, and fried rice add some fried onion, crab meat, char siew to stir is nice. so is tofu add fried onion and garlic on top of the tofu add light soya sauce. WHoooots great!
oh also, mee goreng must add some curry powder with chilli n tomato sauce to really taste good!
Great post.
I'm really excited about Christmas too, especially after walking into Pier 1 and getting a whiff of their spruce candles.

So, are you all set for your colleague's wedding? :)
AHAHA! You've got some really out of the norm food suggestions. Why don't you try making them at home and see how it goes? Sounds pretty tasstyy to me. :DDD
Hm yeah, i really hope SIM gets back to you soon. The wait can be agonizing cos you just really wanna know if you can see a clear path ahead of you and plan accordingly.
And yes, i'll be going to Canada on the 31st of Dec. I'm SO excited. A holiday is SO in order... And overdue. But yeah, i feel really privileged to have the chance to go again. Sorry to hear that your trip has been cancelled. Roarr!
